Lessons from the field

How we overcame the challenges

Starting a water company during the pandemic was a challenge, but Mizu Resources succeeded in starting and operating it.

Construction01

Construction

Mizu Resources had to adjust their initial vision of involving contractors from Manila and instead focused on working with local contractors, training them on standard water system construction, and successfully carrying out projects.

Logistics02

Logistics

To reduce costs and overcome logistical challenges, Mizu Resources directly collaborated with local manufacturers and shipping companies from Manila to Camiguin, resulting in more efficient operations.

Lack of Contractors03

Lack of Contractors

With the established logistics process and relationship with manufacturers, Mizu Resources has successfully trained local talents to handle projects in-house. This has led to a reduction in the reliance on contractors and significant savings in capital expenditure (CAPEX) costs.
